IDENTA is expanding its solutions portfolio through the acquisition of akili:innovation – AG Capital is supporting the development of an integrated provider of identification and access solutions
Vienna / Dresden, July 1st 2026 – The IDENTA Group, backed by AG Capital, is continuing its strategic expansion with the acquisition of akili:innovation GmbH. With effect from 1 July 2026, the Dresden-based software company will operate under the name IDENTA Software Solutions, expanding the Group’s portfolio to include software solutions for ID card management, access control and self-service kiosk systems.
IDENTA develops and markets RFID-based identification media and solutions for secure identification, authentication and access control. With the integration of the ATLED software platform, the group is expanding its existing hardware business to include a well-established solution for the digitalisation of identification and authorisation processes.
“With this acquisition, we are laying the foundations for a complete ecosystem centred on access media – from cards and transponders, through software, to modern self-service kiosk solutions,” explains Uwe Wiest, Managing Director of IDENTA AUSWEISSYSTEME GmbH.
By combining RFID technology, authorisation management and self-service solutions, IDENTA will be able to offer its customers even more comprehensive solutions from a single source in future. The transaction thus strengthens the group’s position as an integrated provider of identification, authentication and access processes.
All employees of akili:innovation will be retained. Johannes Schuricht will remain part of the team in a managerial role. Uwe Wiest and Tim Heine will take over the management of IDENTA Software Solutions.
